REJOICE ALBERTA RULES LIVES SHOWS LIVE SHOWS

ALL SONGS MUST NOT EXCEED 2.5 MINUTES LONG. JUDGES HAVE THE RIGHT TO STOP CONTESTANTS IF LONGER. ONE WILD CARD ALLOWED PER ROUND ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY

Voting Ratio: Judges 40%; Voting 60%. 12 contestants go through to semi final. Contestants will be assigned one song to perform with a track or one accompaniment provided by them. Rejoice Alberta does not provide tracks or vocal coaching at this point. Mentorship is provided upon request.

Voting Ratio: Judges 50%; Voting 50%. 6 Contestants go through to the Final. 2 Songs in Total. One assigned song to be performed (acoustic version) and 2nd song to be performed as part of a group (Contestants will be put in groups and assigned a song per group). Vocal coaching and mentorship will be provided by Rejoice Alberta.

Voting Ratio: Judges 60%; Voting 40%. If there is a tie, contestants who tied will do a sing off of a song of their choice. The winner will emerge. 1st Song is assigned; 2nd song is a song of your choice (not already performed in the competition)

Dress rehearsal is the final rehearsal of a live show in which everything is done as it would be in a real performance. There is no dress code for it.

Absolutely. Friends and family members’ involvement are highly encouraged as their votes are part of what helps you get to the next stage. We highly recommend that you share flyers on your social media page and gather lots of support within your sphere of influence.

Yes, judges assign songs until the final where you get to pick one of the 2 sets of songs.

Your single must be completed within a year.

The $5,000 goes toward the cost of the studio time and the producer; whatever is left is yours. Rejoice Alberta has a few studios we work with but are open to working with contestants to get the right fit for their single. The amount of studio time would depend on individual cases and the prize is for one song.

No, we have a system that will allow people to vote from anywhere in the world especially because of people whose friends and families live far and/or cannot attend. We love to have a wide variety of audience for participation purposes so if they can attend in-person, please encourage them to do so.
