Rejoice Alberta is a Christian singing competition created to glorify God, discover and nurture talent, showcase Christian music, and bring people closer to Christ through powerful lyrics and inspired performances. Our goal is also to build community through a warm, friendly, and healthy competition while helping artists gain access to the music industry.
Now in its eighth season, Rejoice Alberta offers contestants the opportunity to grow musically, share their God-given gifts with a larger audience, and compete for a recording contract and a cash prize of up to $5,000 CAD.
In-Person Audition Process
Welcome to your in-person audition. Contestants will showcase their vocal gifts before a panel of up to five judges, who will provide brief feedback and vote YES or NO.
You must receive a minimum of three YES votes to earn a GOLD TICKET, which qualifies you for the next stage of the competition.
A pre- and post-audition interview will be conducted to capture your journey. While optional, participation is highly encouraged.
A camera crew will be present in the audition room. Audition videos can be made available upon request.

Contestants who progress through each stage will move on to the next level.
Support, Rules & Expectations
Our communications Manager will stay in touch with you throughout the process and provide rules and guidelines at each stage.
All live shows require ticket purchases for family and friends. Ticket sales help offset event costs.
A voting system will be in place. Contestants are responsible for inviting supporters to attend and vote.
Post-audition videos will be used to help with contestant publicity.
Music, Rehearsals & Performance
Song selections will be made in collaboration with the vocal coach and mentor.
Soundtracks will be used during the live shows. Contestants may provide their own tracks or receive assistance from Rejoice Alberta at a minimal cost.
All performances will be coordinated with our vocal coaches, mentors, and stage manager.
Rehearsals and sound checks will take place before every show.
